Any good "Grassroots" type calendars for 2011 ? I had some great ones from my FAVORITE MAGAZINES these last few years...
Big Box Bookstores usually have the same old E36 M3
Thanks, Chebbie

I noticed that I DON'T HAVE A GRM calendar and it's almost DECEMBER. I've come to rely on these GRM CALENDARS to organize my social activities such as car club meetings, car shows, etc.

Yay !! ( I was hopeful, but these days the economy does put a beatin' on such things )
Once again, Thanks to everyone at Grassroots Motorsports & Classic Motorsports for all they do !!

(the Grassroots Motorsports page on Facebook indicates a calendar will accompany the Feb. issue !!)
I go through mine at the beginning of the season and mark it with Solo events, rallycross events, and motorsports on TV, so I don't forget to record them.
I just talked with (some of) the powers that be. Street date on the calendars is right around January 1. That's a little later than we'd planned for, but still in time to mark it for next season.

Like this?
Hmmm, look what the postman left for Chebbie on Saturday! a 2011 Classic Motorsports Calendar bundled with my Jan 2011 issue
I am torn between August, October, & December as my favorites! Thanks again for 2 incredible magazines.
Actually, right now I'm sitting in a hotel getting ready to upload the final files for the February GRM and the 2011 calendar to our printer. If you hear of a devastating fire at the Sheraton Four Points Sacramento Airport, you may not get the issue and calendar on time. If not, you're probably fine. look for it in the mail starting in a couple of weeks.

My 2010 calendar has helped me make sales. A guy and his girlfriend were in the store looking for a watch for him. The GF saw my GRM calendar on my shop wall and was VERY enthusiastic. Turs out they have a web site that sells parts. She was more enthusiastic than he was. I will give you more info once I get a price for my new exhaust.
My GRM 2011 arrived in the mail with the February issue today. For those who have expressed any degree of disappointment,
I will ask the same question posed by my 8th grade shop class teacher -
"Are you berkeleying High ??"
Each month is incredible (September and November have FIRE !)
Thanks to everyone at GRM & Classic Motorsports for 2 great magazines that include calendars!

Cool pictures indeed, but I shed a small tear for the loss of Grassroots-ness. It was cool to see the different classes and types of cars people put together in their sheds and race. Now it's a different class of shed.
I kinda have to argue that I don't like the new calendar as much, I have 2009, 2010 flipped over on the wall in my cube at work right next to my new 2011, I want more GRM cars, not these brand-new expensive, flashy, well funded race team cars. I like my old ones which only featured maybe 2-3 newer race team cars.
I think you should go through the reader's rides section for 2012 and pull some of the cool ones from there, whether they're full up race cars or not, now that would be sweet. I can just imagine staring at DitchDiggers 850 coupe for a whole month, that brings a smile to my face

I suggest cutting out pictures of your favorite cars and taping them over the flashy ones. You know, if it's really that big of a deal for you.
As I've mentioned in other threads, based on our surveys and readership demographics, our board members have a narrower definition of "Grassroots" than the reader base as a whole. So we do mix it up a bit from year to year. Trying to keep everyone happy is a recipe for madness, but fortunately we're all already crazy anyway.
