Interesting read, two Kids, or at least they were kids when they built it. Created their own ski area. Lift, snowmaking, and infrastructure, on their family farm. They still maintain and ski it today 30 years later!!

Note to the folks at Polar Peak:

It would be cool if either your website or your Facebook page could make it easier to figure out where the berkeley this place is.

Pretty sure that's by design.  It's not open to the public.

Definitely by design. From what I have read, it is not difficult to get them to let you ski there if all the stars align with when they are there. It is not a public area.

Are there not a bunch(ish) of those in Vermont/NY/Maine/New Hampshire? We have had a couple of co-ops from the area who've mentioned going to kinda local privateish hills with a DYI lift set ups and such.
