It has universally positive reviews, some even directly compare it to the Prusa i3V and claimed that the Printrbot was more reliable. Partly, I prefer the metal structure. I know that it will be out of date within a few years but I don't want to deal with the durability issues of wood. I got the assembled heated bed model through Amazon for $750 shipped. I was thinking about the kit but I could use one less project in my life and really just want to get printing!

I am curious about this too. The print clarity isn't likely good enough for threaded holes but it might be "close enough" to where a machine screw can finish the tap easy enough.
I printed a smoith bore and used a wood screw. I don't think it can do fine thread, but I could be wrong. I know I don't have mine calibrated that good.
