So yesterday was 6 months since my liver bicection, I had my followup which included the all too usual battery of bloodwork, some of which I won't have back until the end of next week. 4 results of note were available early this morning though.
All liver enzyme levels are not only normal, but actually low. As is my WBC count.
I wasn't given the all clear just yet, but was told that knock on wood, because it looks as though they got it all when going back in last month. I'll be under the microscope of course all summer and into the fall (and beyond) but the numbers are good enough that they're submitted my application into a few clinical trials involving stem cell use to regain additional pancreatic function. (Since I can't leave good enough alone and all!)
