The H-F one claims a 1/20,000 switching time, the Hobart 1/10,000. Both claim to meet applicable standards. I haven't found a strong correlation between performance and price on this item.

The one I ordered has a 1/10,000 sec reaction time, guaranteed that is faster than my attempts.
It also has setting from 9 to 13 and its standard tint level is 4.

Nice info there, sounds very reasoned, as I weld more I plan on moving up to a Miller Elite.

My cheapo Harbor Freight auto-darkening helmet worked great for 10 years. Then it just quit darkening, I got flashed, I bought a Hobart. I bought the Hobart because I needed a helmet on a Sunday and Tractor Supply was open. If I did it again, I would probably buy the Harbor Freight cheapo again.
