I just dropped a reference to the Hess triangle on the main forum. I dunno why, but this little New York artifact has always intrigued me.

If you're reading the tiles and look right, just across Christopher Street, you'll find Fat Cat, one of my favorite places in the City.
Somewhere deep in Wikipedia's Central Command Bunker, some on-duty engineer is wondering what in the hell just happened to cause such a spike in activity on the Hess Triangle article.
There's more info about the Hess triangle here.
I want them to build a tiny, triangular-phone-booth shaped bar on it. I know there are practical issues with that idea, but I still like it. Standing room only for one person and a pint, with an up close view of NYC streets.
There used to be a pretty decent pizza place behind the cigar shop that now owns the triangle but, sadly, now it's vacant. It was a good place to grab a slice between sets over at Fat Cat.
Those kind of things are very interesting to me. For a real good one Google "Tyler Spite House" in Frederick, MD. In this case the land owner won.
I'm a fan of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, a little autonomous region in central Florida that does not adhere to most of the states regulations and self-governs everything except elevator inspections. (Im not making this up) You may know it as Walt Disney World.
My great great uncle built a the Freeport Spite House. He also built a park and he and my great grandfather built most of the sewers in eastern Long Island.
