I gotta get one and I don't like spending money.
Harbor freight coupons seem to have dried up lately. Perhaps they've stopped sending them. They are still running sales and pushing the credit card now though
I can get you bigger or smaller, but not the 2.5
The coupons are really going the way of the dodo, even in the apps
The 20% off coupons won't work on the higher end stuff anyway. The best bet with those is to either look for discounts like above, or look in the return area. The parking lot sales (which are rare now also) will also sell off the returns (Sunday with the most discount, but off course stuff might be gone). Returned jacks (generally used once) might be easier to find in "less nice" area stores.
The disappearance of the printed coupons and scarcity of the PL sales are the result of the stores being too busy already (you may have noticed the home improvement stores have been quite busy also).
I have the aluminum 2.5 ton HF jack. It doesn't get used daily, but I do swap tires twice every time I autocross my Miata, so it does get frequent use. I've had it for almost 3 years, and I've been happy with it.
How do the aluminum jacks with the "steamroller" front wheel work out ?
do they get stuck on small pebbles or sand ?
and what front wheels does the 2.5 ton jack have ?
Thanks
I find that the 2.5's seem to struggle too often. Then I force them and they soon blow seals. The last couple have been three thousands which take a lot more abuse.
From what I heard, Harbor Freight has discontinued the 20% off coupon. The only coupons they have now are on individual items, and they seem to only be available through email and on their website. Those 20% off ones were full of exceptions anyway, and don't work on jacks, welders, etc.
There are still some good coupons out there, but they are less common. Here is on old (expired) one for 10% off anything, no exceptions (one weekend only):
In reply to californiamilleghia :
My 2.5 has the normal steel wheels. I only use it on my lighter cars, I have a 3.5 ton steel jack for the heavier vehicles.
