My boss just picked up a truck at auction for a steal. He phoned up an acquaintance who has a dealer license in Georgia and paid him to buy the truck at auction for him. Before I go and ask my new boss for a favor I thought I'd ask if anyone here has a dealer license, and ideally a Manheim Auctions account. Of course I'm willing to pay for the help.
Alright, has anyone tried to bribe a dealer into doing the same thing?

There's a whole franchise up here that's built on the concept of "auction plus $399" pricing. Of course, their "reserve price" has nothing to do with what they purchased the car at auction for, and most of their stock I'd grade B to B+.
I'd approach the local corner lot used car dealer and offer him a couple hundred bucks for the ability to go to the auction with him and pick out your car and have him buy it. I think you'd be surprised how receptive you may find him to this.

I've worked part-time at several used car dealers. They all did this once or twice during the course of a summer.
