Automatic what? Fiesta ST is manual only??

I drove an automatic FRS, and it didn't seem that slow to me. Not a drag car for sure, but far more power than you can legally use on the street lol.

No it isn't--- it's just the new Camry is effing fast! Almost all new cars are fast--- well, besides Hondas.
I find it amusing that people carp on the Frisbee being slow, while they pine about AE86 Corollas, MR2's, CRX's and the like. Speed is relative. Fun is fun--- some of the slowest cars I've driven have been the most fun. Also-- some of the fastest cars I've driven have been the least fun. (I'm looking at you BMW M6 (SMG))

I had a ton of fun in a numerous slow cars because I attempted amatuer rally with them on back roads. Or I got lucky in them. Or because they were obnoxiously loud. Or because it was a beautiful summer night and perfect for running with the top down.
My buddy had a VW Camper and VW Vanagon and both were hilariously awesome. As soon as you stuck more than 4 people in them, they became a rolling party.
I rode in a BRZ once at an autocross, and they're kinda slow. But they make up for it big time with the fun factor. The chassis is better than an E36.
It felt just as fast as my stock SW20 which would be good and I'm fine with that. I was just a little disappointed that the it really didn't feel any better than it though. Oh well. That is why I still keep the sw20.

Wait hwhat? FR-S/BRZ Douche car but BMW not? What world am I living in?
It's like saying a Miata sucks as a drag strip car - not what it's about. Those things are a blast around a tight, technical course.
Not sure about fast, but I finally sat in one today. I really love how the back seat is designed for hauling a set of race tires rather than people, brilliant!
They are faster than any car in my extended fleet sooo I think you just encountered a dud of a driver.

Those are my kind of engineers!
For the first time in my life I am on the verge of seriously considering a Japanese car. I am a big power guy, lots of fast American muscle in my past. But the most fun I've ever had was a 100hp BMW 320is. And even though that is not the pinnacle of sports cars it led me to appreciate the principal of what driving a slow car fast is all about.
Amazing looks, excellent chassis, two doors and driving the correct wheels? I'm all in.
