edit: ironically, I get that error using Chrome
Here at work I get that for a few seconds then the banner ad comes up. At home all I get is that script. Both machines are running xp and firefox.
No wonder we aren't filthy rich from online advertising yet.
The ads served on the google ad network are actually scripts that run, not plain images that are loaded from our server. If you have popups blocked or have changed advanced settings on your browser, you may not see the ad. There could be other factors at work here as well, such as browser compatibility, but Google is usually pretty thorough with that stuff.
