Any one else going to this? I bought tickets almost a year ago and they finally showed up. Needless to say I'm super excited. I went to the DC races around RFK a few years ago and it was amazing. By the looks of it this B-more event will be even better. I'll be there all 3 days and plan to make the absolute most of it. Been sacking away money every week because I plan on it getting spendy. The only down side is its taking the place of a turbo install. But that can wait the GP may never come back.

Where is the race being run? Fell's Point?
Street course, over on the stadium side of the harbor.
I'm going to try and head up to at least one day, just wish it wasn't Labor Day weekend.
Street course by the harbour. ALMS, Indy, Star Mazda, Indy lights and F2000 will be racing.

In reply to ThePhranc:
That course looks insanely tight and has some "interesting" features. The T3 hairpin might require drivers to practice their three-point turns and the T5-T6-T7 sequence (which also includes the pit entrance) just invites carnage. And, WTF, the pits are on the back side on the course and not on the main straight?
That's gonna be an expensive weekend for teams and spectators alike.

Would love to have a room on the top floor of the Sheraton or the Hyatt? across the street. Wonder if you would be able to use the sky bridge from the Hyatt? parking garage across to the Inner Harbour?
Is this going to be televised?
Or at least on the net.
The Indy race on sunday should be on TV. ALMS might be on speed, you know if they dont have a rerun of 8 NASCAR shows on.

ESPN3.com for live streaming, ESPN2 for same-day coverage on cable.
I'll have to put the dates in my phone to remind me to set my DVR.
I am going with some of my siblings. We got 7 tickets in grandstand #23, I think rows 5 and 6. Just going on saturday, more interested to see the ALMS racing.
We waited and didnt get our tickets until a few weeks ago so we sort of had to take what we could get, but it still seems like a decent location on the track.

Every time I ride the metro past RFK, and look at that unused track going to hell, I get really pi$$ed.
I have tickets for BGP through the PCA. Not cheap but parking in the corral and what sounds like a nice hospitality area. I hope this race works out for the promoter and the city at large.

You'd think they would run some kind of weekend warrior track day. Its easy revenue.
Tomorrow! Can't wait. As excited as a 30 year old girl before a NKOTB concert.

I thought that Grand Prix means Formula One.
i saw the "CGI" Track map, anticipating LOTS of crashes

Practice should be very fun to watch with seats overlooking the hairpin.
TV is Versus, not ESPN. Qually Saturday 6 PM Eastern, race coverage Sunday 2 PM Eastern, green flag 2:45.
Simona is back in the States and will race.
Bets on how many laps before Race Control's first screwup?
Excellent depth of drivers this season.
I will be there all three days , Start /finish line.

I heard about this a couple of months ago and looked into tickets and rooms and sadly couldn't make it work. I do believe that I will be heading to Summit Point for the Marrs races on Sunday. Should be a good time.
Spent a few hours doing recon today during practice and holy crap is that place epic. Just the feel of a city track is so much more fun than a road course or roundy round. I can't wait to get there tomorrow so I can collect all the swag I passed on today.
My only complaint is how convoluted it is to get from one side where the trains drops you off and the other side where my seats were.

watched alms practice and qualifying today.
they were delayed getting started a few hours because they were still working on the track, but it looks like a pretty cool course. didn't realize IRL was there too, that should be interesting
Watching qualifying on ESPN3 right now. Carnage. Made my first trip to Baltimore last October, I think I drove about half the track getting to the aquarium. I plan to be watching this tomorrow.
