Art Morrison chassis, I think, only has modern 'vette suspension in the front. Rear is solid axle on 4-link.
Bit of a cottage industry.
My brother is working on this swap for a customer in his shop now. Aftermarket frame takes full C4 suspension.
Will ask him when I can who makes the frame he is using.

If that's Freeport, NY, my grandfather ran it a few times BITD, but stayed mostly to PA and upstate NY.
He got out before he had a chance to run with the Andretti's but did run against the Spencer's. Said they raced dirty.
Gramps.
Also got to run with a young dirt track innovator by the name of Dave Kneisel.
Wally, when I first saw that program, I thought it was from Germany. When my Dad was stationed in Kaiserslautern in the 70's (and running his Lotus Type 61), dirt track bugs were very popular.
Back here in the states some tracks had bugs in a "mini mod" class.

John left first. . . (Star Wars/Graffiti cross reference)
While searching for the fate of the '56 they wrecked in the race I found good info on all cars.
Thought I heard it went to the dragstrip, but that was one of the other 55's. The '56 got crushed.
George Lucas and Steve Perry were from around the same area and similar timeframe. "Still They Ride" was about the cruising scene. When I hear it, it makes me think back as a kid in the '70's and my brothers cars and friends cars when muscle and gas was cheap.

For the sake of boredom, I reply to my own quote to add more hotlinks. . .
Bro BITD with 'goat. First engine rebuild (389 hi-rise 4bbl), first paint (HS shop class). 3-speed, IIRC. Check out era stripe job on c-pillar! (Trying to see what the junk through the windows on the other side of the 'goat is. Around this time there was a basket case Austin 3000 parked there)
His current ride after recent NEPA snow.

The motorcycle version scares hell out of me. The word is that if a rider went down the biggest immediate problem would be huge splinters.

At least nothing important was ruined.
I googled "ugly PT Cruiser" and this was on the first page:
