Continuing my posts from the last page, I love that the GG1 was built in '35 and into the '70s and '80s Amtrak and Conrail struggled to find electric locomotives that could replace them. Some of the GG1's supposed "replacements" came and went and the GG1 was still in service. Shows you that Pennsylvania Railroad and General Electric really broke the mold when they built those things.
I like how as they changed hands, the identities got more and more muddled too. There were a lot that wore the Penn Central black paint scheme but with Conrail or Amtrak lettering and the Pennsylvania Railroad keystone-shaped number plates.

I have one of the ancient O-scale Commodore Vanderbilts, with the matching cars. It's ooooold, because the body is actual stamped tin, instead of plastic. Weighs a ton.
Kinda like this one. I should dust off my 027-gauge tracks and set it up.

I have a weird 1930s Hawaiian $1 silver certificate that I got back as change from a vending machine a few years ago. Technically they aren't even supposed to exist anymore.
