My uncle was the head of the UP steam program during the rebuild of the 3985 and the 844. I got to see both as a kid. I really wish I could see them now as I think I could appreciate a lot more now.

In 1958, my brother's Babe Ruth baseball team team manager "Moe" had a '57 Desoto Fireflite just like this one. Same colors. I was nine, and loved that car. At the time I didn't know why.
