I don't really know what it used to look like back in the day, but that might be turn 10 at Laguna Seca.

Except, (IIRC) there wasn't a T10 prior to the track extension.
An educated guess says the pic was taken at Bridgehampton. Riverside didn't feature a steep, downhill right-hander like the one in the pic. An outside guess is Mosport, heading into the Moss Hairpin.
No details available; it's just a great pic!
Maybe it's the lack of color tone or lack of color variation, but that doesn't look appetizing at all. All it looks is greasy.

I know what's at 2 and 8, what is at 12 and 5?
In reply to lewbud:
Sure looks like meatloaf at 11 and fried chicken smothered in gravy at 5.
I think I'm going be looking into dinner by 6:15...

Not going to argue with you, as it certainly is greasy, but I will just say that it is the best fried chicken I've ever experienced in my short life. My mom, who grew up spending summers in Kentucky with some of the best home cooks in the world, agrees. This is the line on an average weekend by 4:30 PM. Its about a 2.5 beer line at this point.

Where did you get the chicken, anyway? It looked great.
Is that some of that dipped chicken? I don't know what they dip it in, but it seems to be a Black specialty. You fry it and then dip it in something afterwards.
This is honey dipped, but what I'm used to seeing definitely isn't honey. Sometimes it's hot like a weak wings dipping sauce, but this has definitely been around a lot longer than hot wings.
Rip's Tavern, in Ladd, Il. My girlfriends-fathers-cousins own it, its been in the family since 1936 and almost nothing has changed since then. You get the choice of Dark Chicken, Light Chicken (both 1/4 chicken), chicken strips (kinda meh), and fish during lent. Pickles and fried mushrooms are appetizers, the crispies (fried bits of batter) are free on the table. I'm slightly obsessed, most of the people I know who have had it are.

They put the chicken in the slurry (don't know the recipe, but I do know that the owner drives 1.5 hours every week to pick up the non-commercial flour), put the slurried chicken in the fryer... and thats about it from what I can remember.
I've currently got an open offer with some friends of mine: if they drive the hour fifteen minutes up there and are disappointed, I will pay for the chicken, beer, and gas there and back. Part of that is I know that the most their bill will be is $12 if they get drunk, and part of that is I know that if they like fried food, they will not be disappointed.
Scrapple Burger - Diner Cheeseburger and 1/4 lb of scrapple, topped with bacon, ketchup, lettuce and optional ranch dip.

Technically there was not a turn 10 originally. That would have been turn... 8.
What was added later was the infield section that are now turns 3, 4, and 5 (and turn 2 wouldn't have been a hairpin).
Figuring out the layout of Laguna Seca is too confusing...

I'm not sure what you mean by it sir. Looks like the current turn was there, since the two maps are 90deg off from each other. Looks like it may have been shifted slightly.
The sand just really made me think Monterey. It looks like Monterey sand.
