Anybody ever heard that term?
A quick google "cool beans etymology" yields the following: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/cool_beans
A guy I work with told me that it originated in Akron Ohio and that only people in Akron say that. His reasoning was that he moved from Akron to Cleveland and nobody in Cleveland that he met was familiar with the term, so WALAH! It must be only in Akron! So I thought I'd tap into the infinite wisdom of the interwebs to find out if he was correct.
Yep, have heard it all the time for years, but only knew the "spiffy", "dandy", "that's good" and so forth connotations, and not any drug-related origins...

some say post WWII or 60's-70's...
Cheech: Hey man, look at this car made out of weed!
Chong: Oh cool beans, man!

I came here to post this. Thank you.
GF brought this bag back from london a decade ago. I saw it recently and thought it had been 20 years since I last heard someone say that and am guilty of using it since
