It's my birthday and my kids gave me a nice reversible 3/8" pneumatic drill and a set of cheap screwdrivers. The scewdrivers are the type that you can use as a chisel without feeling guilty but the drill is good quality. It sure beats a tie.

It was just my birthday too and my kids gave me a 26' Little Giant expandable ladder with 2 standing platforms/ platforms to set a paint can or tools, a little baggie thingy that you put at the top when you use it in the A frame mode to hold your tools and the wide stand off to put the top of the ladder further away from the wall to make it easier to do things underneath the roof line.
I used to be excited to get toys as a kid, I guess now these things qualify as adult toys.

I actually like ties...when they are quality. My girlfriend got me a nice silk BCBG tie, its nice.

I get a chocolate bunny for my next birthday. But my best hual was my 18th, I received the big Craftsman 1/2" drive set. 
Mine was the 17th and I got a new set harnesses for the Abomination. The ones in it now expire this year.
Edit: I could actually use a couple of ties.
Had mine on the 27th and I got a nice set of metric gear wrenches and a pretty sweet Technics direct drive turntable.

This year I got a great gift from my wife; 2 track days at Laguna Seca. When she found out the Miatas at MRLS day was happening, she told me, "I want you to sign up for both track days..... Happy Birthday"
