I joined the service to help make some contacts in the business... all I get is half a dozen to a dozen spam emails asking if they can put my video on their site (it's all a canadian pharmacy spam bot)
Sorry, but if they cannot control the spam bots.. I see no reason to be there

It's been nothing but a source of contact from recruiters for me....
I accepted a link to the Real Estate agent that handled our buying the house. I keep seeing the addition of snake-oil salesmen and ersatz Amway schemes. I guess the housing market hasn't fully recovered yet..
I get more spam from people purporting to be on LinkedIn than from any other one source. People I know who are on it regret every signing up and can't seem to ever get rid of it AND THEIR CONTINUAL CONTACTS to them.
It seems to have all the worst characteristics of internet contact engines.
HELP! I accidentally clicked "watch this item" and I don't see how to unwatch. I don't even see how I Watched it.

Looks like the spambots have more power than you realize....
The only reason I use LinkedIn is to keep my contacts information available on my phone. Their app allows me to sync my contacts.

Click on "my watchlist" on the side bar near the top to remove it.
You probably accidentally watched it when trying to add your post since the watchlist button is just below the add post button.
I've never had any issues with it...
