What one would the hive recommend that doesn't suck? Mostly decks, siding, garage floor, and automotive cleaning. My gas one ate the pump, and for 300 bucks, id rather no fix it.
Side note: anyone need a cheap vertical shaft 4 horse briggs?

I'm pleased with the $80 HF one I got. I just blow it out with air when I'm done with it. Near as I can tell, all the Chinese ones come from the same plant.
Yep. Wife bought me a chinese one and it works great for stuff like you describe, washing nasty car parts, etc.
I would caution you on one thing: Don't get one with a "quick release" for the garden hose connection. If you lose the mating half, you're screwed.
If during your research you find one that has more attachments or the option for more via separate purchases, that can be handy. Especially if a surface cleaner is available because that makes deck/driveway cleaning faster and the results tend to look better.
I think you'll be disappointed going from a gas powered to an electric. I went the other way and was amazed at how weaksauce the electric was. Of course, maybe I just had a real sucky electric.
Having said that, I'm selling my Honda powered pressure washer 'cause I'm moving and downsizing. Gotta pick it up in the Houston area, though!
I have a Karcher electric I bought at Home Depot. Certainly they aren't as powerful as gas pressure washers, but for cleaning decks, etc. it works just fine.
I purchased the HF one on sale for ~$60 with the expectation that it would basically be a hose+ for cleaning concrete slabs, siding, dirty rallyx cars, etc... so far.. it's about what I expected. not bad, kinda wussy, but I don't worry as much about it causing harm because of it being too powerful. Sounds like that might be what you're looking for. I might explore a slightly better version of the HF one on amazon in your case.
So whats a good one thats comparable to my old, incredibly crappy gas one? Or at least the most powerful and reliable electric?
I started with a Karcher electric then switched to a gas. I will never go back and here's why.
All of them have crappy pumps with some very expensive exceptions. The problem with an electric is that it is almost always a proprietary pump that must be purchased for $300 from the OEM... if they even still make it. Gas ones use universal bolt patterns so you can get replacements for $69 on Ebay or Amazon.
A typical box-store pressure washer pump is designed to last 20-30 hours tops. You'll have to replace it. I just prefer to get a gas unit so its cheap to fix, and any of the modern gas engines (even the chinese copies) are hard to kill.
Mine is a good-er model of Craftsman with a Honda 6.5 and a 3000 psi pump (3.2gpm I think) that I got for $279. It has been used and abused for 4 years now and its been great. If and when the pump goes, $69 and its fixed. With an electric, if a pump or motor goes, its trash.
Just my opinion, take it or leave it. But going TO an electric is a lose-lose IMO
Link me to the pump? All i found at Northern tool was stupid expensive, hence the reason for this thread.

Yup. I couldn't find one for any thing less than stupid money, but im not exactly savvy with this.
Maybe I should drag it out of the shed, remind myself of just what it is, and ask you guys to help me find a new cheap pump?

Start with Amazon
If it is a standard vertical shaft washer you should be able to find a pump for under $100.
In reply to Hal:
What do i look for though? I see everything from 40-400, with very confusing description.
Maybe tomorrow i can get the dead one out of the shed. Expect a new thread.
You'll need to log in to post.
