Remember kids, Jihad is not a game

The atrocities committed by the terror group ISIS are so horrific that a high-profile al Qaeda member, an American citizen, purportedly addressed the group directly in a new al Qaeda publication and lectured them that if they keep it up, Allah will not grant them paradise in the afterlife.
“My dear brothers: While no one can deny the considerable strength and prowess of the Islamic State group [ISIS] in military terms, at the same time, the crimes it has committed against Muslims cannot simply be overlooked or forgotten with time, because in Islam there is no statute of limitations,” the late Adam Gadahn said, according to an al Qaeda magazine published recently online. “And if these wrongs are not brought to an end and rectified here in this world, then a severe punishment has been promised both for those who committed them as well as those who encouraged, condoned or justified them, even if from behind a computer or mobile phone thousands of miles away.”
“Oppression of any kind is wrong, and [there] will be darkness for its perpetrator on the Day of Judgment. The Ummah’s [Muslim community’s] Jihad is not a video game; it is real life, with real consequences, in this world and the next,” he said.
That's like Flavor Flav telling Kanye West to ease up.
That's like Gallagher speaking out against violent video games such as Fruit Ninja.
many people dont understand the difference between the goals of Isis and Al Qaeda;
AQ has a militant geopolitical agenda.
Isis ideologically believes they can hurry up the coming of apocalypse, and that until apocalypse is triggered, they are morally free to do anything to bring it about, and once its happening, they will be on the side of holy warriors. But up until then, anything goes and 'doesn't count' against you for being immoral.
Al Queda has been telling ISIS to tone it down a bit since they branched out of Syria and decided to try to take over the Middle East..
This isn't the first time. I remember when they started off they broke away because Al Qaeda played too nice for them.
Basically al qaeda wants to run things like the 10th century, well they might even have a problem with Arab society back then even, but Isis wants to run some apocalyptic nightmare E36 M3.
Isis might be doing us a favour.
Once they've destroyed every historic site, we will be free to bomb them back to the stone age without any bad feelings.

We let Isis's predecessor have a country in Saudi Arabia once they decided to stop burning and demolishing everything. That was back when nobody cared about the region though. Honestly IDK why we care now, let them slash and burn the entire area if the regional people want to stop it they need to own up to it instead of having us fight their wars for them.
In the early 1800s, before the Ottoman's put them down, and the early 20th century the Saudis did EXACTLY what Isis is doing now. There used to be historic sites, shrines, etc, all across Arabia before the Saudis destroyed them.
If the Ottomans were not broken up they probably would have ended Saudi Arabia before it happened. The west building the middle east was a huge mistake. Europeon colonial nonsense.
A british afganistan, persia, egypt, n. africa, sudan, raj and a french syria seemed to keep that E36 M3 in check. perhaps they need some colonization.
It's like the Davies brothers from the Kinks telling the Gallagher brothers from Oasis to take things down a notch

That's part of the equation, but not all of it. Really good article (although a tough read) here: http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/
Oh, and N Sperlo wins the internet for today.
