Now you have. Jake underwent successful surgery yesterday to de-eyeball his last eye from ocular melanosis.
He’s doing quite well, but now he’s going to look like the kid from deliverance. Sadly, I cannot call him Ol’ One Eye anymore

I did, but he didn't see me.
Hope he is doing well with recovery and adjustment. He looks like a tough little fella!
Awww.
My little Cairn Terrier, Barney wishes the best for your Cairn Terrier, Jake.
For those that don't know, Pat and I have nearly matching dogs. So much for being a somewhat rare bread.
A pretty good sample:
Aww, poor guy. Our dog lost an eye to a tumor and was going blind in the other in her last few months. The poor thing did okay most of the time, but if you had a door open or a chair pushed out, she'd clock herself from time to time.
Growing up we had a super sweet pitbull mix that had no night vision. Come dusk, she was totally blind. Daytime no worries, followed birds in the sky, could catch frisbees, etc. As soon as it would start getting dark she couldn't see at all. Once she ran right up the driveway as we were coming home from a walk and smack into the back of my GTI at full tilt boogey.
