A year ago I got my grandmother's 2006 Malibu when she retired from driving at 94 years of age. Low mileage with only 40,000ish miles on it, it was a good appliance but not much more.
I found the steering and brakes to be way overboosted, the suspension to be big 60's car too soft, and the interior and exterior to be bland to the point of disgusting.. but the Big v6 could howl and move that little four door.
Even with a lightly smashed nose, I sold it yesterday for $5000 and was I ever happy to see it go. I never found myself hating a car so much.. especially one that didn't do anything wrong.. but could never do anything right either
HA! I can relate. No offense to the Mustang guys, but if there's a hell it involves me driving a 2000 V6 Mustang.
It didn't do anything wrong, but it didn't do anything right either. It was a good day when it went
I hated it so much, I completely blocked it from my car-memory.

I know it's blasphemous, but I feel the same about the bone-stock, low-miles 90 Acura Integra I just bought. It's about the most boring vehicle I've ever owned.
Unfortunately, I'm into it for $3000, and since the Acura community has no love for old, yet completely stock cars, I'm pretty well stuck with it. Oh well, I'll just keep it as a handy second vehicle.
