Late to the party, but one other thing to consider is the company behind the product.
Sony is the #1 biggest contributor to the RIAA and MPAA, aka those shiny happy people that sue their own customers when the revenue streams start to dry up.
Microsoft is the monopolistic gorilla that buys out or sues into submission any competition they can.
So, they're both evil... but at least Microsoft is using American labor.
