GRM Fantasy Football 2015

Moving the discussion here from last year's thread.

We'll do as many leagues as we can fill. Multiple entries are allowed. We'll start with an autodraft league and once that's full we'll add a live draft league, then an autodraft league, and so on. Scoring will be about the same as last year, which is basically typical fantasy scoring, with some additional points available for strong defensive performances, and bonuses for absolutely epic performances.

Big difference will be a different league manager, as pretty much everyone hated the NFL.com league manager. ESPN's seems to be a favorite, as does CBS's. Weigh in here. Any drafts will take place in the week between the end of preseason and Week 1.

ESPN is my preference, and live draft is my strong preference.

Hey guys,

I set up another group for the ESPN pigskin pick'em league for this season. Do a search on ESPN for pigskin Pick em and look for RM 2015 as the group. The password is Miata. It was fun last year picking the winners each week, and i think we have down this for at least 4 years or so. It is a straight up pick the winner setup(no point spread), and it throws out your worst weeks score.

ESPN really sort of sucks, and the site is a little clunky, but it works. Let me know if you have issues getting in the group. Try this link:

OMG this ESPN interface sucks so hard on the league manager side. I know you guys hated the NFl one, but the league management back end was awesome. I'm actually onto phone with ESPN trying to figure this crap out right now. The things I do for you people...

Okay, if you want in to the leagues, it has to be by direct invite, so send me an email at jg@grassrootsmotorsports.com with the subject line GRM Fantasy. I'll send you an invite to both the auto draft and live draft leagues. Auto draft will be next wednesday. Live draft will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Yahoo has the best fantasy football, period.

By the way, look closely at your rosters. In addition to the regular cast of players, our league also features a slot for a linebacker and a head coach. LBs score with tackles and sacks, coaches score with wins and margin. Coaches also lose points for a loss.

QBs also get a quarter point per completion and lose a quarter point for an incompletion. Point totals for those factors tend to be modest, but it's a system that rewards efficiency.

I live across the ocean now and I won't be able to do a live draft, but I think I am in the live draft league. How do I switch to the autodraft, do I need another invite?

Does anyone want to do the pick em thing?

So... I can't make the manual draft on Tuesday night because I'll be drafting in my money league that night. Does anyone care if I drop out of the manual league and join the auto-draft one?

I'm emailing you when I get home, I missed out in my work league and am looking for one.

You don't have to actually be at the manual draft to pick. If you don't make a pick inside the prescribed time, it will simply pick as though it were an autodraft. If you know you aren't going to be there, just set your wait time to a minimum and it basically becomes an autodraft for you.

Tomorrow I'll send a list of who I have in and who hasn't responded yet.

Ok, I'm in on the pick em league! I have never done Fantasy Football before but I am thinking about it. Is it too late to sign up?
