How the hell does the online ranking work on Forza. I just cant figure it out. Ive been a beginner for a long time. Maybe I need to expand my horizons.

My Z is at 1:17 right now. Ive got some rear end balancing to do.
you must have meant 2:17, because the current lap record for a production car is a Lambo Murc LP670-4 SuperVeloce at a 2:08.
Last season I was normally a couple seconds off from Fink on most tracks with the ITR. Just running on my own, at Road Atlanta, in my 914 tuned to this seasons specs, I'm turning around a 1:34 or 1:35. I'll have to get on and throw down some laps at some of the other tracks and let y'all know where I am. Based on last season if I remember correctly from the few races I ran. I think I'm middle of the pack maybe a bit better. So, if you want a median time to shoot for or beat I amy be a good target. I'll be back with an edit to give you guys my Laguna and Silverstone times.
Edit: These were reached the same way for me 10 hot laps and taking the best one.
Laguna 1:37.6 Silverstone GP 2:06.8
My Dino times:
1:38.400 at Laguna 1:35.967 at Road Atlanta, you can call it 1:36
I need more practice and may build a new car.
We are talking about Silverstone Grand Prix right? I just ran a 2:08.937 in the Dino, PI 425. Online leaderboard for C class is 1:57.070. I rank #53,018 with a 2:09 lap.
And to answer N Sperlo about online ranking, you just have to race and win against others who have a higher rank than you. I am at 27 just from online drifting.
I'm running high 1:35s/low 1:36s at Atlanta in a 914. 2:31.5 at road America and 2:07.5 at mugello. I'm terrible at silverstone. There's not much top speed in my 914
Yeah my 914 tops out around 133, I think.
Edit: I was thinking the spec was 2.0L I may have to play with a couple other builds maybe to work on straight line speed. 2.5 definitely opens up more car choices.

It's based on the Chess ranking system. Basically, you have to beat people that are ranked higher than you to rank up.

My bad.
So, are we going to try the 2 room thing? Seems like we've got enough people interested to do it. The question is, do we run them both at the same time, or have one later that night?
All it would take is someone saving the replays in both rooms, posting them to their storefront, and writing down the total times. The fastest lap isn't really necessary, since there's no points given for fastest lap.
Seems like it's luck of the draw on how many show up. I don't mind hosting one of the rooms if needed.
Got the 914 down to a 2:29.7 at road america. There's more left with a little tweaking and a better driver.
Yeah, I would say if we have more than 8, we should evenly distribute between the two. Anybody know how to orchestrate that?
I expect its 9:00 easter as usual. Reguardless il be drifting around 11:00 central so... 10:00 eastern. Ill be in a party so dont be shy, just jump on in.
Happy Monday

It would be nice for me if we ran one a bit later. 9:00 pm Eastern is pretty early for those of us on the west coast.
Since it appears that I am the only one on the west coast, I won't whine too much if you all elect to hold them simultaneously...
well, we could run a 9 and a 10. That way the East coasters can still catch Futurama....(priorities)

I would suggest having them spread apart a little more. 9 eastern and 9 west coast. If you cant make either, i guess there are bigger fish to fry. We could just get a tally of everyones times and get a score sheet. Will GRM host the scoreboard if i write the html? (Thats you, Tom!) Or will my website? I guess i can fit a scoreboard under the subject of paranormal as long as I stay in the lead.
I like the idea of running a race at 9:00 PST, is anyone else down to run though? I don't want to run alone...
I wonder if we can convince Salanis to run with us if its at 9:00 ???
N Sperlo, thanks for volunteering to do some coding, I know that either JG or Tom had indicated space was available if we could find someone to do the coding...
I just ran a quick race with Blitzed at Sebring. Other than he was running a cheater post-'75 car I realized pretty quickly how badly I suck, especially driving with the controller. I also still need to work on car setup/build - I didn't realize you have to save setups to be able to apply them in races so I'll have to do some of that. I have a wheel on the way and need to get a headset but I should be in for Thursday - just don't laugh too loud as you all lap me!
1:33.920 at Road Atlanta in my 914 1:27 and change at Road America
Time to learn Suzuka and Silverstone
