My 2000GT just isn't cutting it. I may build a Ferrari by next week....

Tuning is huge. Have you tried turning on the telemetry when you are in "test drive mode". Its pretty awesome to be able to see tire temperature in real time as your driving around the track.
Also fine tuning your gearing can buy you quite a bit of speed...
Feel free to ignore me if your already playing with these features...
Lol. Yes i have tried all that, Cap! Thanks, though. I have come up with some great drifters!
Anyway to anyone who was planning on drifting with me, I have an emergency to take care of. I may be on later though and the same stands. Jump on in.
I may use a few cars - the 914 just doesn't have the top end for le Mans. Maybe an axles of evil thing - German, Japanese and Italian cars.

I've found a few features, but some of them I've found by accident (like the ghost car in the test drive mode) and wasn't sure how to get back to them again. Maybe some kind soul can whip up a quick tuning guide for the noob rabble?

Marty! wrote: If you got to http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/3577649.aspx it will help a lot. My Fairlady is at1:41 at RA right now and I can't get any faster yet. Getting the proper tire temps even across the tread and front to back is the best tuning so far.
Heres the link to the tuning helper. It helps, but keep in mind every car is different. Do a little fine tuning. Go to the upgrade menu and select "Test Drive." It allaws live tuning, but no ghost. Or maybe someone knows how to turn the ghost on in test drive.. Anyone?
Well, the temp guide in telemetry mode is NOT how it works in real life, so you have to tune differently. If you set the camber for even temps across the face, you're losing grip.
I also try to make the G meter as smooth as possible. If it's jumping around a lot, then your car is upset. Also, a lot of people tend to run the lowest ride height setting, which doesn't help the car at all.
yeah, as far as I know. It would be cool to run a west coast one as well, so we will have two rooms. 9:00PM eastern, and 9PM Pacific.
I'll be there 9:00 pm pacific!
Any word on acquiring a corner of the website to organize the series? (cough tom? cough)
Ill be there at nine pacific as long as none of my partners tire iron wielding wives show up to work again. Thats eleven central, right???

(That's http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forza/ by the way.)
If somebody can hook me up with a spreadsheet or PDF of the standings, I'll post 'em up. This page isn't really suited to a whole lot of crosslinking, but we can have as much information there as somebody (else) sends me.
I'd love to help administer, but can't dedicate the time right now. I'm glad to host and help where I can, though.
If someone cand send me the standings in a private msg ill write them up in html so its a quick coppy paste with a table.
Thanks Tom - very groovy - you got the header in, now somebody can add a footer with my name in it - got a feeling I'm bringing up the rear in this series.
Ill open up a lobby around 10:30 central for the 9 wezco series. Seeing things stay cool at work tonight. As for you, oldtin, I will be taking up the rear of the field, thank ya.
Upload them from your store front. Then you can download them from the Forza website. (I don't recall if you can holink directly to the pics on the forza site).
Once downloaded you can you picasa or any of the other free pic hosting services...
sorry dude, I was in the middle of writing an article (non-GRM, so I will keep my mouth shut), and my GF was watching Avatar on the box. COMPLETELY lost track of time!
You'll need to log in to post.
