Actually... looking at the pics... i'd say the Celica is just as "legal" as the CRX.

NP Brad. That's what I thought you meant by Hatch. One more question though. In a prev. post I asked about using V6 engines. The Alfa GTA is a "hatch" looks like a hatch and has a V. I don't want to bother modding it if it can't be used.

I'd say that engine type doesn't matter, as the only limitations that have been posted are tires and "shooting brake."
Putting down the extra power a V6 might get you is going to be.... interesting on Sports tires.
Ruling on 323F Lantis?
OK, I am inclined to allowing back in the FTO, Celicas, Eclipses, etc (providing it has a hatch)... frankly, their specs don't make a world of difference. The fastest FTO ranks 14th in HP/Ton.
Let's move Series 3 to it's own thread.
I've uploaded a new Admin Spreadsheet with currently available cars. Feel free to comment / complain / etc...
Sony said: We are working around the clock to have some PlayStation Network services restored and we’ll be providing specific details shortly. We hope this update is helpful to you, and we will continue to keep you posted as we work to restore our network and provide you with both the entertainment and the security you deserve.
Looks like we are pushing back another week.
Hopefully there will be some GT5 DLC available when PSN comes back up and we can use our "Welcome Back" free downloads for it. Wishful thinking I am sure, but I would like for there to be a bright side to this mess.
Couple observations from last night's testing:
1) FTO is NOT a hatch. Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus is NOT a hatch
2) The developers' knowledge of engines is still wonky. Mazda 323F (Lantis) will only make 246hp n/a, 264hp turbo. This is laughable when compared to the RSX Type S's ability to make 352hp n/a.
Testing on Trial Mountain last night, only three laps apiece to get the best time, no real tuning other than throwing parts at the cars:
1) 7th gen Celica GTS - 1:35.xxx
2) RSX Type S - 1:35.xxx
3) Peugo 207 GTi - 1:37.xxx
4) Mazda 323F - 1:42.xxx
Still needing to test an ST202 SSII, Cyborg, and maybe get over my distaste for Hondas and try the Civic Type R.
Sport Soft, but i didn't test long enough to see what the effect of wear would be. If i run Soft, i anticipate that i'd have to pit once, maybe twice on some of the races.
But with the races being as long as they are, i'd hope i'd be at least 2 seconds a lap faster on softs vs. those running mediums trying to stick out the whole race. So it'll be a wash on most of the tracks. Or so i think.

Seems like it's a FWD hatchback, i'd say it's ok...

Problem?
That would be hilarious and confusing!
I don't know which celica i'm going to use yet... the ST202 SSII hasn't showed up for testing, but i remember it being really damn fast in GT4.
End of May.... maybe....
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/05/09/report-full-psn-service-at-the-end-of-may.aspx
A Sony executive in Japan says that the company expects to have full PSN/Qriocity service back up at the end of May.
Talking to Bloomberg, Tokyo-based Sony spokesperson Shigenori Yoshida said that the company expects to have its new security in place and have everything back to full service by the end of the month. This would be six weeks after it was initially taken down to deal with the attack by hackers.
Sony of America hasn't confirmed this specific timeline yet, although group CEO Kaz Hirai has said that parts of the service would be coming online shortly – if not already. Unfortunately this hasn't happened yet.
This report isn't a total shift in the company's plan, but it is worth noting that its current timing to go all the way to May 31 stretches "within a month" to its full definition.
Hopefully it's all worth the wait.
Yea, that is really putting a damper on the series climax.
Hell at this rate Derve, Chimp and Apex will all be back.
E36 M3, Netflix has stopped working.
So I guess it's GT5, GTA4, and the Sims 3 pretty much all the time now
You'll need to log in to post.
