Got my ST202 last night, and a couple other REALLY oddball options. About to do some testing after i down a bottle of cough syrup or something.
<------ sick. UGH.
ST202 on the used car market? how hard is it to find?
Took me a while... Let's just say i've done all the rally special events.
If PSN comes back up soon, i can gift it to you. It's already fully modded, just tweak to your use. I don't think i'm going to use it. It's just barely too slow to hang with the RSX when N/A, but with the Supercharger it's too hard on tires/too much to control. May be faster with a wheel so you have throttle modulation, and just don't give it full throttle til 4th gear.
Of course, again... i didn't spend too much time tweaking. It IS fast, just hard as hell to drive fast.
I'll trade you for a Cyborg? I can't seem to get that one to come up in the used lot.
we may be able to arrange something... I think I saw one in my used lot last night... I wish the network was back up! what are the stats on the ST202? HP/Torque/Weight?
I'd have to check, but it's in the realm of 375hp, and about 100kg lighter than the RSX.
sounds good, the midrange on both of my lightweights is terrible so I'm looking for something lighter than my C30 that makes power there...
I played with some cars last week. The CRX is in no way competitive, light, but will never make near enough power. Same with the other early small Hondas. Currently I have a Type R Integra that is not bad (other then the whole FWD flaw ) but I need to try some others. I may look at the Volvo.
It's a good thing we have this extra time for this series because a lot of the cars are used lot material and it can take a while to find some. I am not really in the habit of snagging FWD cars in the used lot, so I have some catching up to do.
agreed on the CRX, I think the EK would be competitive for someone far smoother than I... the powerband is REALLY peaky, but it is SERIOUSLY fast.
My B-Spec Bobs make most of my cash lately... my free time driving is used for T&T mostly...
anyone want to share the best money-whore races? my bspec level is only 22 and I really don't have any of the competitive road race cars like the audi r8/10 whatever it's called/787B (do want!)/Chapparal 2J etc...
I had my choice picked already, just waiting for the damn network to start back up
I was tooling round with other hatchees but I think the one I chose is my favourite, the Honda wail is awesome and there are faster cars out there than mine but I don't care lol it's nicely balanced and looks freaking sweet metallic red with light blue wheels
haha correct but nope, Alfa 147 although that was one of my choices.
One of the best hatches... Shame the Biera isn't FF, I would have run it regardless.
I haven't even tried the Alfa... i wasn't aware that Alfa made FF cars. Learn something new every day!

SAME! Brera?
only recently haha and that's kind of one of the reasons why I wanted to run it, see how it stacked up

Yea, that one. My spelling is struggling... Lack of sleep due to restless baby, typing on my phone, drinking beer in an airport...
Ugh... the 147 is sloooooooooooowwwww.
wow, 95 DC2 is mega slow... that's kinda dissapointing...
not to mention no cyborg yet in the used market...
oh you know nothing Beni'll use my Cyborg and smoke you out haha
I mean come on, it's a freakin Alfa!
Just got a '97 Celica and '01 Civic R from UCD.
In reply to RealMiniDriver: Cool. Like to hear what you think of them. I actually maxed out a series 1 Golf GTI today just to see where it stood. About 8 sec. slower than my Integra R @ Tsukuba, lol.
I'm sure I'm going to mess with them; just grabbing FF hatches when I see them, in case someonewants one.
I've played with the Volvo C30 the most. The '97 EK was too peaky, the Alfa just too slow. The Focus ST wasn't bad. Currently, I'm trying out '05 &'07 MINIs. I find the '05 a bit quicker than the '07, yet if I go back to the C30, I lay down a quicker lap. I've been doing my testing at Trial Mountain.
I'm sitting at consistent low 1:36, high 1:35s at Trial Mountain with the RSX Type S, ZZ231 Celica, and ST202 Celica SSII.
Haven't tried the EK yet, or the integra type Rs.
The EK's and DC's are great and.....let's race our celica's
I have no idea what my times are haha
I played with the 95 DC2 last night and just couldn't get the hang of it. 92Celica, the "RSX" you're talking about, is that acually a newer model year ITR or is it actually the RSX that makes that much power?

It's actually an Acura RSX Type S.
Which in theory should be the same as a DC5 Integra Type R?
Don't remember exactly how much power i said it made, but 352hp is ringing a bell. It's faster on the straights than the Celica (ZZ231), but a little slower in the corners.
the 95 ITR has about 335hp/260b ft, and weighs 900kg... that's turbo, so it's pretty peaky... (the 98 EK is about 390hp/290lb ft and about 895kg, so it's definitely faster)
my C30 is 425hp and 390 lb ft at 1100kg
those power figures all motor? what's it weigh?

Yep, those figures are all motor. I think i squeeked below 1000kg. It's a little piggy, but easier to drive than the turbo cars.
what's it make with the supercharger/turbo?

Can't put one on it, so you'll never know! MWUAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
