I finally got mine in the mail so I opened the box I received from Mr Asa
First up was an assortment of old Powerboat mags and a Hot VW. I am overdue for some new reading material and it's been a while since I've thought about throwing money into the water so this should be fun.
Next up Stickers!! A Towel City Recap sticker used to be on the back of my dads van, he ordered the M&Hs from them for the stock car. I've been to Island Drageay a number of times but never picked up a sticker.
The red Corvette I haven't gotten around to ordering lol
Some neat screw together plastic jars, one of them filled with fine thread screws
A little shop oiler, carburetor of some sort and borescope
Random collection of hardware, drillbits, electrical connectors, and a file
Thank you so much for the package. These are always the most fun gifts to open of the year.

I will be sure to put the dies to use with the press out in the shop. Wow, not just a hairy board or part of a boat, but part of a bonafide exotic Challenge car! No worries on the stickers, it was an awesome box...much appreciated.

That's pretty cool that your dad had one of those stickers on his van. Nice little bonus.
The little containers are from my last job. I was in charge of Performance Oriented Packaging (P.O.P.) testing. Basically any package that transports hazardous materials have to be tested to ensure they maintain structural integrity when damaged. Those particular holders are designed to hold fuses that thread into tank ammo and allow for explosions at different times (before contact with the target, at contact, after penetrating the target.) I've found them to be very handy for small parts.
The little thing at the top of these images. You can see where the point would fit into the foam inside the containers.
Glad you enjoyed the box!
I was guessing they held milling bits. Only place I have seen them.

Up until I worked there, same.
My outgoing was supposed to be delivered Friday but usps says it arrived today. Hopefully the copious duct tape did the job.
My victim's arrived at 3pm, hopefully to the correct address, or someone will be quite confused
In reply to Mr_Asa :
Tank fuse holder is much better than screw holder. Something else my brother will probably recognize and question when he's over lol.
So how many of you all have had your package personally delivered by forum royalty? Angry hisself, a man I have enjoyed getting to know over the last few years, brought my package by tonight. The watch mutt was growling and I looked out the window to see a red Sonoma parked out front. I know a guy who drives one of those I thought to myself and BAM he's up on the front porch! Had a nice brief discussion as it was cold outside but the sentiment and effort was awesome and much appreciated. Thanks d00d!

Got my box saturday and waited until I could do a proper unboxing. Everyone knows the only way to open a New Year's game box is with a little flare. So I opted for plasma torch. Here's an excessively long video showing just how easy it is to slice open a box with super heated plasma:
Key highlights: a Matchbox car collection starter kit (already claimed by my daughter), THREE Logdog stickers (I'm especially stoked to get a Vanadillo sticker for the tool chest!), a legit new Blaupunkt head unit, a Volvo hubcap clock that needs a new movement but will totally grace my wall, and a cool TI simulator that I'm SO TEMPTED to steal the switches from.
Indy-Guy, thanks so much for the box of loot. I enjoy this game most for the sense of community and the shenanigans far more than what's actually in the box...that said I have gotten some pretty great stuff over the years with this year being no exception.
Questions: there's a leather thing with a metal spike. What on earth is this for?
Awesome Box Opening ! That's the first time a Plasma cutter has been used to open a box. Well Played. The Blaupunk is a re-gift from Glue-Guy from last year, and the clock is from two years ago, care of Mndsm. My son was sad to see the "Poop King" Matchbox get sent off, hopefully your daughter gets a laugh out of it and the other Hot Wheels.
That "leather thing with a metal spike" is used in rural America to clean a horse's hooves before trimming them.
I finally got my box mailed today. I feel like I've redeemed myself.
Woohoo!! It showed up today!
Wait...what? "Contains seeds that will grow into the projects you never knew you wanted"...SWMBO says "If there are car parts in there, you are NOT buying a car for them to go into!" Ah man...
Inside the lid were stickers and a nice note from ae86andkp61. Thanks for the well wishes for 2021!
And now the goodies! Hot Wheel FRS (turns out ae86 has a real one!) heat shielding, Mobile 1 oil filter, and...hey...what's that horse?
Really? a Ferrari banner? How cool! It's going right out to the shop.
Under that was the rest of the booty... stickers, garage door opener button, cap and rotor for early 70s GMs (hmmm, do I need one of those?), new and used clutch cylinders (corolla and MR2 if you need one), cone air filter, NASA water bottle, patches, driving light, zip ties, and misc candy. And I think a set of 2 LED strips? I wonder how they are powered. There are 2 unknowns...the gold thing and black thing at the lower left. Ideas?
Thanks for the stuff ae86andkp61! It's always fun to play this game :)
A package!
Packed up well with a couple of t-shirts on top
With the top layer gone we have some curry flavored popcorn which my wife took, an old wiper blade, some headlights
A box of knots to learn to tie knots correctly. This will be fun for the kids
An infrared temp gun!
And here is an overview spread of the rest. Some rockin' Hot wheels that I didn't have, some sort of headlight harnesses I think. Not sure if the 2 black housing are for fog lights, a usb power supply, gloves, zip ties, Rush chronicles collection, an led light from a VW, Lamin-X paint protectant, some various bolts, bulbs and a razor knife. Last but not least, a very used brake rotor!
Didn't have their full name but thanks so much Hoffbeck!!
A box got delivered yesterday:
I am not going to open it until I get mine sent out, shooting for today or tomorrow.

The gold thing looks like an upper spring perch for coilovers.
The black thing looks like an oil cap.

Cadman5 sent me something from the PNW!
Nailed it!
Lolz!
First layer: tshirts likely will fit. Fancy ear buds with minimal ear DNA. Fuel sticks for burning down the West Coast or keeping warm in the north woods of wisconsin.
Highlights: favorite xmas movie, tape measures that I wall accidentally encase in a stud space during our on going remodeling, and drill bit sizer.
"Whats in the box!?!?"
Highlights: bent tube light, cool key chain wrench, and 10mm socket!
Highlights: drill bits, SRT8 badge for my V6 Grand Cherokee, and paintstik.
NASCAR stick set and instructions!
Thanks Cadman5!

I received yours a few days ago and promised to send mine before opening yours. I'll open it tonight on the Zoom call if that's happening.

Favorite tradition: seeing crap reappear year after year! The piston and con rod was at my house last year (I don't recall who I got it from, but I got it in the 2018 GRMNYG) and went to Gumby with some additions from me: the quarter bag and the big reamer (the big phallic looking thing with a morse taper on one end).

I have literally dozens of brand new movements. Let me know next time you're down in tacoma and we'll get you a new one.
I will absolutely take you up on that! Is Griots still doing Caffeine and Gasoline weekends? Maybe we could meet up at one of those and send Bill some "wish you were here" pics.

Same here.
The piston, drill chuck, roll of armstrong wrenches, fuses and hydraulic crimper adapters all came from me. Now they have been combined to add weight to yet another box.
