Thanks Pinchvalve! I am especially fond of the world's tiniest funnel. Roberta seems to like the bicycle cables, though she likely has no use for them.

You are very welcome!

Got my box the other day, sorry it took so long to post up.

Good stuff here along with a very nice personalized letter. How you guys figure out who's who is beyond me. Sorry, I sold the S10 shortly after the 2017 Challenge.  Feel free to PM me with questions about it.

Woot-Woot! On to the loot!

Gasket cutter set. This this is great. A set of round 'punches' that look sort of like sockets, but sharp to make clean holes on material.

Old school brace and bit drill. Classy!

A wine bottle that lights up and is wrapped in lights. Even classier!

Stubby phillps screw driver

10mm Deep well socket. (so that's where it went...)

Great beer cozies. The Old Style one is awesome!

Knob made from a wooden Jack Daniels cap and a lug nut. Need to find a good use for this.

Some air filters for small power equipment

vinly repair kit

LED touch light

Cool decals

A big bag of scrap metal from a Challenge car build

The box it all came in has dates and zip codes noting its travel over the years. I will continue this for sure!

Starting to worry about my box. Took 12 hours to get to the regional hub, then radio silence for 4 full days now.

"Arriving late". No E36M3.

Sorry, New England recipient, it'll be there when it gets there.

Ooh, this is exciting. My incoming box was here when I got home from work today. My wife said it was on the porch when she got home this afternoon.

I'm not going to open it until after my outgoing box has been dropped off at the post office. Edit: tomorrow.

In the meantime, join me in admiring the awesome artwork, and then answer this question: what's missing?

And, to be complete...

I'll be back...

Good eye! Not what I was looking for, but you got me to assess the picture more closely. I don't know of any mammals that have only 9 pairs of ribs, although the domestic cat indeed does have only a vestigial clavicle.

While we're on the subject, humans, cats and dogs have 13 pairs, horses have 19.

Yes, it would have to be hand delivered.  There are forum members here in this area, plus this is the same county as the GRM mothership. It's got to be someone with artistic skills.

It's quite a surprise, and I haven't even opened the box!

the sheet of cleveland sports cards was creative!  Charlie Manuel once told me at a hitting clinic "Boy I can't tell you anything to fix your swing, you hit like Jim Thome" and that was one of the nicest things anybody ever told me.  Kids have excite about the books, solid classic choices.

the old school valve lapping tool is awesome and I'm going to find a new suction cup for it and use it!

my recipient (shiny happy person) will have theirs hand (model) delivered soon (because i'm not paying for postage to ship 50 pounds of stuff to an shiny happy person) so I felt it acceptable to open my package (with my rugged and less soft hands) prior to shipment (because something something grm relay coming through town and there's something the post office will absolutely break)

We’re really happy the box was a hit!  We had so much fun putting it all together.

My daughter Lauren works in the library at a local high school so all literary credits go to her.  She sourced the books from a few local free exchange libraries (cool little cabinets in front of peoples houses) and had a blast driving around to find them.  The sports cards are from my son Steve’s collection and date from when he was collecting in the early 2000’s, he was home for Christmas and was all in on digging through to find some area appropriate cards.   The non-boxed Hotwheels are from his collection too.

As mentioned in the note the valve tool and puller are from our late and much missed neighbor Charlie.  I would be very surprised if that valve tool hasn’t been used on a Ford flathead V8 or 3 in its life time.   He shared a picture of himself (probably in his 20’s at the time) sitting in his ‘35 coupe, his Mom had relatives in Louisiana and he told us that he drove her down and back in that car several times.  He said the last engine he put in it was bought new off the floor of the local Ford dealer sometime in the mid 50’s.  Badass also took himself on a little motorcycle trip in 1953 that I’ve posted about elsewhere on the site.   It would be awesome if the valve tool gets used again, I have a bunch of his tools (his relatives told me that was his wish before he passed) and I think of him and thank him each time I use one.  The frame for the ‘35 is allegedly in the woods behind his house, maybe I should go look...

Anyway, enjoy and we’re all super happy you all enjoyed it!

How anyone on this site could know this and not have already gone looking is mind bottling.

A semi serious discussion is underway regarding a recon mission.  We had close to a foot of snow yesterday so some patience will be needed.   I don’t even know if it’s there for sure.  Charlie mentioned it in passing one time when we were talking cars, in hindsight I should have had him take me on a field trip on warm day.  If it’s there and I can find it I’ll start a separate thread.   Y’alls are persistent enablers. devil
