My box is all ready for the PO tomorrow. *finally*
Apologies to the 'lucky' recipient.
A now the latest nomination for slacker of the year: me.
Just got my box sent out today.
After the box sent to me sat for a few weeks, i finally got around to opening it up. First, thanks AAZCD for the goodies. The box has seen a few years of the game and should be able to make at least one more. Odd the box I sent out today was decorated by the same person, MNDSM. His work is going places.
On with the show. All sorts of goodies, including bearings (dont lose them), a camera that uses actual film, some toy flying things (immediately claimed by my daughter), german coins (from when they used their own currency), some hand tools, a license plate, hand warmers, cpu fan, asswipes (tm), and lots of other goodies. Oh yeah matchbox cars too.
I wish I had more time to give it all a good chance to find a home in the shop, but it has been busy around here getting ready for a new season with new cars.
Have a great 2022 AAZCD and all the rest of you.
Simple packaging, but some neat rope pattern duct tape to make sure it didn't come apart while customs did their thing... also, almost US$70 in postage?!
Ooo... a legacy box inside, and some scotch brite pads
Some old magazines, most of which are significantly older than me
The rest of the main box contents - Woodward cruise card, GMC centre cap and a small parts organizer
Opening the Legacy box
The contents: A u-joint, bedtime stories cassette, ruler, chopsticks, plug wire separaters, spare exacto blades, lincoln mercury emblem, old Chevrolet speedo/odometer and a mysterious black plastic box.
Many thanks for the fun stuff.

I love the artwork from MNDSM, I received that box from Brett Murphy. Hopefully those boxes can keep in circulation for years to come. After sending it out I kept finding things that I had meant to put in there and almost sent out a supplemental box. ...still could. Enjoy the stuff.

I'm glad you like them. I've seen two of the old ones so far this year, strangely the two oldest. I'm sure I could dig up pics of 2019, and stafford1500 already confirmed 2020 is on the road.... which strangely mean that he's the only one that's had more than one of them. Only took 6 years.
Which means...that's three interesting things this year. I *believe* I'm the first one to hand deliver a package, I'm reasonably sure floating doc getting his Honda manual back is the first time a regift has gone back to the owner, and now the boxes. I almost don't even care about the stuff inside anymore, it's about what I can do. I'm also glad to see metal boxes inside the box become a thing.

Foreshadowing: Oh, it's going to get better.....

Thank you so much for measuring those. All the calipers I have locate pins outside the bolts, rather than inside, so I can't think of anything to do with them for the moment, but I always appreciate gaining more information.
In reply to Mndsm :
I got to hand deliver mine the first year, it was the easiest one for me so far.
In reply to Mndsm :
My wife just sent me a video, a box has arrived at my house with some fancy artwork on the outside!
(Your 2020 box by the looks of it!)
I got a legacy box and used that *same* legacy box as my box. I think I'm the first person to get and send a legacy box so it made two trips in the same year.
So I have a 2020 Mndsm box at the house, from Steve Stafford! I did not get a chance to open it last night due to having to go help a buddy get his truck unstuck from his back yard. That's ok though since today is my birthday, it's like a GRM birthday present I plan to open tonight.
Anyways, I did take pictures of the box at least!

Well looks like it delivered in one piece. Have fun and happy birthday...
The guy at the post office counter didn't even comment on the box, just slapped the label on it and tossed it in the bin.

He clearly does not like fun.

Clearly I need to up my box game next year. Wow, that's some cool artwork!
i've seen so many things i've sent out in previous years being re-gifted. it really means a lot to me to see the selfless nature of this community, that y'all are willing to share such valuable items with others.

Ok, I got to open my awesome box last night, and the contents did not disappoint!
First, a nice not from Steve.
Fist section:
And a picture of all of it together. Thanks Steve!

The Eagle has indeed landed, and wearing a fine suit of field plate, at that.
I was ready to open with my trusty hawk, when I noticed the following instructions:
This first gave me pause as I would hate to destroy fine goodies, but then I thought, no, perhaps the portion labeled top is prepared for such efforts. I will trust my fellow GRMer. When I went to pick up the box to get it ready, I noticed that many of the corners have been beaten through, like so:
This would appear to be an immediate regifting of a box liner. Note, that magnet in the first photo will stick to the box anywhere.
Now we appear to be at "trust but verify."
Pray sir, would you state your intentions clearly that I might understand your intent?

My 14 year old son gets credit for all the art work through out the box. That was his attempt at sarcasms because all the other boxes were labeled "don't open with chainsaw"
