Got a few weird looks, but overall, it was a lot of fun. Would love to see how it would do with a set of sticky tires. Helps that our city had a government grant for several electric chargers, including a couple of quick level three chargers that will charge the car to 70% capacity in less than one hour. And they're free for a year. So no fuel cost for a day of play. My write-up:

There was a GRM'er here that Autocrossed one of the previous incarnations of the cheap electric car.

It was quick, but the sticky tires confused the traction and stability control which killed the fun pretty quickly.

I suspect you may have similar issues with the Bolt, but I'm not sure.

I had the opportunity to take one for a spin at work. It would annihilate the front tires from a 30mph roll. Definitely a swift little car. Cool interior. And taillights.

I have a theory that the Bolt is the first production EV which would actually make a halfway decent rally car- but GM won't give me one to let me prove that theory, so I guess it'll have to wait.
