Thanks! I credit help from tunawife and the powergrab product. Unfortunately we have company coming today, so painting the walls and ceiling will take a bit longer.

Looks terrific! That's a great solution for you.
Wavy ceiling joints in angled walls like this is not really a defect- it's just a normal occurrence. There is no top plate at the joint to define "straight". The ceiling joist is nailed to the side of the rafter, and there are to many variables to get it to work out well. Even if the ceiling joists were set perfectly level with a laser (they were not), the rafters still each have a slightly different crown, and they will shrink unevenly as they dry and make the corner wavy. It's a total crapshoot.
The best drywall solution is to not make them straight at all. Radius the corner, then snap a straight line through it for the paint line between wall color and ceiling color. That's what I did in my master BR suite (which involves dozens of corners like that).
If you hate drywall, you haven't seen horror until you try to radius those corners!
You made the best choice in your situation Nice job!
Turned out nicely! I'd like it better than the plain wall even if it didn't also hide some drywall sins. Double duty is an elegant solution.
And if you ever get bored, or want to add a GRM vibe, you could put garage door hinges and hardware on the intersections to make it feel like an overhead door being opened*
*I am not a marriage counselor, and my advice is probably best ignored if you value your marriage or want non-garage activities to potentially take place in that room again
Matte paint was a good call.
Also I wish I had taken pictures before I built the bookcase and refinished the dressers and end table and mirror.

If my years in theater have taught me anything, it is how certain treatments can really alter the aesthetic.
I repainted my office at the theater this year and since my budget was zero, I mixed up some questionable navy blue with some dribbles of paint in our inventory. It ended up being a sorta eggshell/semi-gloss which pisses me off like a brake squeal. Love the color, but hate how it made my already-small office even smaller.
That looks amazing and completely changed the look of the room. It is like the cherry on top of all the other work you have done.
Thanks!
Last night Tunakid 4 and I worked (I have three sons and it's always my daughter doing projects with me) to sand away and paint those two spots nicely, replace the ceiling grates with nice black units, and add a painted (wall color) dowel to the intersection of the ceiling/wall to make that line perfect. No pictures, but it looks really nice. Next we paint the trim, doors, and replace the outlet covers,
