The ones with the gas monkey guy and the sock monkey puppet berating people for not being manly enough while driving a Charger. I loathe these commercials. If you have to act like some sort of alpha DB to prove you're a big man, you're not.

I want to huck a rock through the TV every time I see the truck ad where women want to berkeley the guy with a truck, but not the same guy with a car.
Sounds dumb, glad I haven't seen it. But as is I currently feel the same about the aforementioned Chevy truck guy/car guy commercial.
I really hate the new gm ones where they get the dumb people to sit in the driver's seat then they say how they thought that it was a lexus, infiniti, mercedes, Aston martin..... but yeah I really don't like that gas monkey guy either, seems like a real tool.

The Gas Monkey one I laugh at. Really.. .. . you actually took it serious? The GM ones are just boring. No entertainment value at all. I watch TV to be entertained and that includes commercials.
I'm OK with Rawlings in those ads because he's so openly over the top.
He's a human cartoon and that seems to be working for him.
I'm not the least bit ashamed to say I like it. For Rawlings, that's pretty tame.
It's the racey Altima ads I hate.
How about the GM commercial with the woman that says something like "this car has wifi? That's the dream"?
No lady, the dream is you hanging up the phone and driving your car.

The truck is red and the car is beige, I can't blame them for not wanting to berkeley a dude with a beige car

Well, the wifi is clearly meant for the passengers, but it's still stupid. Why the hell would I want to pay for another data plan so that the cell phones in the car, which already have their own data plans, can connect via wifi instead? What's the advantage?
I don't like Richard Rawlings, so right off the bat I don't like any of the Dodge commercials with him in it.

Quiet, you. How are we supposed to have information economy billionaires if you keep pointing out the obvious like this?
did you guys see the one about the new Miata? guy buys NA miata as teen, uses Miata to find wife, then is forced by his life to sell it, buy other bigger mazdas, and then finally when he is old and kids are out he is finally able to get back to another miata. i was like, meh.
So, market to people who bought the NA new, good. But I haven't seen any others yet so I don't know if they are targeting other younger markets as well. (maybe the younger markets market themselves).
I can't tell you the last time I saw a decent car ad. You know the ones, they had facts, figures, and comparisons to the competition.

Seriously? I thought it was brilliant.
When's the last time you've seen a Miata ad of any kind that wasn't a local dealer ad?
Have you seen the car ad for one of the BRZ/FRS? It shows a guy in said car pull up and pick up another guy standing on the corner looking at his phone. He doesn't recognize the guy and looks back at his phone and asks if the guy's name is ...whatever. He gets in, and they go for a cruise, sliding around some mountain roads. They pass a nice house and look at each other and say something about 'keep going' and drive past it.
That was it.
The End.
But then I thought about it. Did they knew each other or did they just meet for the first time? Were they using a dating app and were going to go to the BRZ guy's house for consensual adult fun, but the car was better fun? Not that there's anything wrong with that. It just struck me as odd.
Yeah that ad was...weird...I think it was supposed to be like something from Initial D if it was a '90s American show made for teens

like when the Ford truck driver was saying how the Chevy sunk into the mud "Like a Rock" as he was pulling him out in that one ad?
or the one ad where the Chevy truck driver was making fun of his Ford truck driving buddy for needing to use a step built into the tailgate of his truck to climb into the bed because he was an overweight uncoordinated doofus?
