The satire is the Top Gear article. It's even listed under "satire" and written by Cory Spondent.

MSN is reporting on the TG article, it's unclear if they got the joke.

To be fair I think most of MSN's "journalists" are LLMs at this point, and it's more difficult for AI to pick up on satire. At least it did cite Cory Spondent correctly.

It's very likely. MSN also republishes directly from other sources like R&T, so we've had articles featured there without ever having spoken to a journo.

Its actually interesting to watch stories make the rounds. The number of stories on our ND V8 cars far outnumbers the number of people who ever drove one. And when R&T published that inaccurate article about why we stopped making them (no, the EPA did not force us to), it was everywhere immediately. Only one outlet actually reached out to us to talk to us - Jalopnik. Even R&T didn't. I wish they had.

It may in fact be satire, but in this case, the joke makes more sense than the reality.
