August 11, 12 & 13 I'm headed to Nashville for a mini vacation. What are some recommended sights, sounds, eats, etc. Planning on hitting you the Opry, and probably the country music Hall of fame.

Country music hall of fame was cool, even though I'm not much of a country fan.
It was closed when I went, but the Lane motor museum is always tossed out as a must-do Nashville thing.
Wife and I just barhopped, mostly - live music and good food everywhere.
Yeah, you gotta go to the Lane museum. Do the basement tour, too. If David (the manager) is there, tell him that GRM sent you.
If you don't do anything else in Nashville, don't miss the Lane museum. Was just there today.Awesome collection, awesome people.
If you love excellent original music, try these venues. I've been to them on numerous occasions and highly recommend them:
(I saw "The Old Crow Medicine Show" perform there back in the late nineties).
Also, any of the many small honky- tonk bars on the main strip in Nashville have excellent, original music by waiting-to-be-discovered artists. Nashville is a great music city.
For something completely different, but interesting nonetheless, visit the mansion of the family that started the Maxwell House Coffee brand, just outside of town (Cheekwood Botanical Gardens).
Robert's Western World, 416 Broadway. Good music, cold drinks and good bar burgers.

If you are in East Nashville you've got to hit I Dream of Weenie in the Five Points neighborhood. It's a hot dog stand run out of an old vw bus. We always go there for their Thanksgiving special since we are in town visiting my brother.
The Waylon & Willie Museum/store, which is next door to Cooters Garage (Dukes of Hazzard heaven). They are both real close to the Grand 'Ole Opry.
