I have a 90 Miata and I have been looking into do the VVT swap. There is so much info out there with several different ways of approaching the swap. Filtering through the info makes me realize how little I how about engine management.

SO my question is does anybody have any guidance on where to learn about engine management? Yap I have done some searching.

In my opinion you should study in EFI University, because these is the good platform for engine management.

Jerry Hoffmann and Matt Cramer's book (avail at amazon) is a really good primer.

I installed a Haltech and worked up a perfectly driveable tune by simply reading the manual and perusing a few select websites. It's not exactly rocket surgery.

Whatever route you go, make sure that you have access to a knowledgeable community that uses the same ECU on the same vintage Miata.
