That Datsun looks odd indeed. But cool. Thanks for the answers folks.
I read about that one barn finds or bring a trailer or both. Too far for me to visit but do want to see more photos!
Well, if you run across any more i need 53/54 2 door sedan doors and b pillars. I'm seriously considering taking mine from 4 to 2.
In reply to patgizz:
If I do, I'll give you a shout. I have almost everything for mine now, except 55 chevy front fender headlight brows (I have the trim rings) and maybe a 54 rear bumber. Since you have one I thought you might be intersted in seeing this
I did this a decade ago when I first got the car, I used the parts from the three-on-the-tree shifter and made a tach mount. Best part is the wires run inside the tube into the dash!
now for the rest of the pics, I thought we had more than we do... if my wife could have gone, we probably would have had 1000+
this guy was cutting off the back half of this 36 chevy to make wall art. The dash was intact and I almost cut the cowl and wind shield posts out for my rat project. I didn't because I realy don't have room for it now... I will probably kick myself for that when I start building off the 26 cowl I have and try to get it titled
Here are some shots my mother took with her camera
Lastly, here are a few more shots of the treasures I got...
I managed to score a few of the marker light housing with intact lenses and trim bezels.
this station wagon air defector was laying in a pile of junk, I have always liked these and I am confident I can straighten it. I don't know what it is off of, and I don't know what I'm going to do with it but at 50cents a pound I brought it home with me.
Like I said be fore we cut the dash out... I had to cut the gauge cluster out to cut around the streering column, but i did get everything.
I think if I remember correctly I have -three- glove box doors now... I think I am going to take one and make a clutch style handbag to match the car for the wife.
Lastly, and what I most excited about (other than the roof itself) I cut this from the center of a Nash (I think) hood. I thought it was cool but wasn't sure if I wanted to graft it into my hood. I have always liked the rear roof detail on the 58 chevys, So I said what about "what about backwards on the roof?". My buddy Duane then suggested putting a third brake light in it
-brilliant!-
We got it back to my car...
that will be so much WIN!
Ok, enough of my rambling. Hope you all enjoy and I will see if I can dig up some older pictures for the junkyard thread.
We need to keep in touch via email. I'm dragging home a 53 parts car when i get more room in the driveway
