I wouldn't be surprised happened, college kids do a lot of stupid things. We had a professor that decorated their room every month for whatever was being celebrated, like breast cancer in October. I liberated some things from my father's warehouse one March to decorate her room for frozen food month.

But the Hong Kong students are not protesting communism, they are protesting the erosion of their soveriegnty, which is one of those "they said they were gonna" things from way back when the lease was up.
