Yeah, but only because that's how much longer it took you to read directions in Welsh, and now you're running to catch up to your friends.

I just assumed it was some crazy, archaic Welsh time unit fragmentary of a fortnight, which works out to 4/3 of a minute...

Whitworth time.
Annoyance: Most engines in the 6l range in 1960 had what we would consider to be crazy high compression, at least according to the books. They tended to machine the blocks a little high to keep the line moving faster, but this is where the power came from getting the block blueprinted. So the 11:1 compression engine only had 10:1.
The Oldsmobile turbo V8s from 1961 had something crazy like 10:1 compression, and a non intercooled turbo, with a draw through carburetor!
And whoever wrote that had never driven a car with manual drum brakes. They usually didn't have power assist because they didn't NEED it, drum brakes are self-energizing. I did have a customer with a Grand Prix with the rare heavy duty brake option (giant drums and 8 lug wheels that were basically like Wide 5s) and to make the car not so touchy he blocked off the brake booster hose. It drove perfectly normally!
