Me too. Nostalgia these days is nowhere near as good as it used to be.

Nostalgia is berkeleying awesome if used correctly. I never got any of the Decepticon tapes when I was a kid. They reissued them about 5 years ago. The suprise I got when I saw them was immense. The joy I got from finally being able to transform them 35 years later was beyond measure. I wish you could have experienced it.
