And just like me, they valued my tools more than their lives. Clearly I have some pretty nice tools.

Geez Doc, unleashed passions, weird orgies, wild parties; is that supposed to be a deterrent? And when did they start shooting it?

I smoked a little weed in the 70's. I never went to a wild party or orgy. Maybe I should check into it again?
I partook at a house party once or twice and my life is just as lame as it was before. I think all these posters and the DARE program might have lied to me.

Yeah. " Weird orgies, wild parties, unleashed passions."
I didn't get in on any of that. Doesn't seem fair.
It's still a schedule I drug, which is assigned to a drug that is considered to have no medicinal usage. Obviously, that's being revisited now.
What's interesting, these show the hard push to get the public behind the idea of banning marijuana.
There were two reasons, as I understand it. Prohibition had ended, and without something to control, all of the agents that were enforcing prohibition were going to be out of work.
The other factor, was the anti - Mexican attitude during the Great depression. A lot of Mexicans (and Mexican American) people were deported during that time and to get public support, it was necessary to make them appear to be a threat. Some of them smoked weed, especially during prohibition.
Instead of calling it cannabis, the word marijuana came into usage since it sounds more Spanish. If the Mexicans could be portrayed as drug-crazed dope fiends then it would be much easier to get the public to go along with the mass deportations.

Sure that was that the 1920s? Sorry, thats probably pushing the thread boundaries.
