Hahahah.... that reminds me of an a-hole service manager who used to haunt the Central Ohio Subarus forum, who insisted that any professional used Snap-On tools exclusively. When I countered that a true professional used tools that worked and didn't care about who made them, he had a minor meltdown.
This was the same A-hole who insisted that Book Time Was God, even after I told him that Mercedes book times assumed other things. In this instance, that the labor time of 8 hours for replacing the rear main seal on a 280SE assumed that the engine was already out of the car. As confirmed by Mercedes. "Nope", he double-downed, "that is start to finish and the people who wrote the spec are wrong."
I used to work for weenies like that. I had lots of fun being a smarmy d-bag pointing out the ways in which their flawed worldview was flawed.
