I used to love Led Zep, but the more I listened the less I did. I generally change the channel if they're on now.
The same thing happened to me. When I was a teenager I made mix tapes that heavily featured their Greatest Hits. During my 20's and 30's I started to tire of them.
A few years back I started listening to all their work that doesn't ordinarily get heavy radio play. And if you really listen- man, some of the stuff they were doing, it was just phenomenal.
Some time, cue up STP's "Where the River Goes" after listening to Zep's "When the Levee Breaks".
Then listen to the original Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie 1929 version.

XM radio used to have a channel called Deep Tracks. It was pretty much all the music that never made the charts from the 70. Outstanding channel. When I was on the road that was pretty much all I listened to.
Sadly I'm no longer on the road and no longer have XM. Local radio is horrible.
