They just think I won't bore them because they've never heard me go on about the differences between Saturn S series model years...

And Leviticus also tells us not to cut the hair on the sides of the head, or tattoo the markings of the dead upon the body... but this part called the new testament came out...

Yes, I mentioned that sort of thing in the thread about nonbelievers.

Not familiar with that thread.
Im guilty of reading too much into a meme that was prolly only meant to be funny, but I missed the point of it, so have no clue if funny or not
But I'm kinda know for not being very subtle, or understanding subtleties very well
Im not quite as bad as Sheldon, but then I ain't as smart, neither!

To get a bit deeper into it, memes don't have to be funny. They're for the transfer of ideas by repetition. Advertisers would love to become a meme- see "Where's the beef?" back in the day.

THAT was good! Bravo!

You are quite correct. I have very little modern social skills. I have no clue what a "meme" is, nor how to pronounce it correctly. I remember where's the beef, but not only didn't "get" it then, I have absolutely no clue what the relevance to the comparison is.
I resoponded to a old test. quote, that, however grammatically correct, was completely missing any point, and added something funny to try to keep you from descending into an inappropriate debate, that I am incapable of not participating in. Obviously did not work.
Aparently either you, ((or most folks on this thread are wrong) don't understand what a "meme" is - 'cause it is often said on here that they are supposed to be funny. I will not interrupt a funny thread any farther....
no picture this time, to prevent further ... whatever this was called.

"Meme" is a term that's nearly 50 years old, it's basically a transmissable idea. It's only very recently that it's become used to mean "funny captioned picture". I think you could argue that the current popular useage is a subset of the original.
