Having married a goth girl, the yelling is the same as every other girl yelling at you.

RE: Kate Bush
One of the first artists to use digital recording.
Very avant garde for her time.
Running Up That Hill explored gender roles.
Most people weren't ready for it when it came out.

I had a friend, who was an IT guy even, who was conducting an experiment where he never closed a tab on his laptop, just opened another. He had 1500+, it was pretty horrifying

That could be my wife. Zero concept of ever closing, or even returning to an existing tab, just open the same one again for the 20th time.

Sounds like the browser on my phone.
I have one - ONE - desktop icon on my computer, and that's for the trash/recycle bin.
The joy of someone who lives and dies by their desktop shortcuts: they are easy to prank.
1) Take screenshot of desktop.
2) Hide all the shortcuts in a folder.
3) Set the background image to the desktop screenshot.
4) Enjoy all the weeping and gnashing of teeth when victim is completely unable to use computer because they have no idea where anything actually is without their shortcut collection.

Same with Mrs. VCH. My hypothesis is it's some sort in ingrained fear of loss. Sort of a form of electronic hoarding.

I am guilty of letting browser tabs build up like this but I do occasionally commit mass tabocide to get them under control.
