I believe he didn't know better and basically never really grew up. He didn't have the greatest of all childhoods and it seemed like that's all he ever wanted in his life. The world didn't see it that way though.

I think that's probably the case too. Guy never got to be a kid as a kid so he tried being one as an adult. Tragic, really, in some ways. Even if I was really disturbed by his refusal to grow up.
Sad and all, but he's only the second most important dead Michael Jackson.
I found it a little sad, he was great artist at one time, but must admit the first thing I thought was:
"I hope Paul gets his music back...."
