Wasn't there a thread on here about how Michigan is now becoming a haven for artists creating their own communities? I bet you could buy whole buildings for the price of a new Neon.

Yeah, it's going to suck (even worse) around here for a while. Having said that, I wish I had some extra cash to invest in property right now, because it's dirt cheap.

Being from Long Island I'm required to like Billy Joel, but Allentown sucks. If he plays it at a concert that's when everyone hits the bathrooms and concession stands.

Now imagine actually living in Allentown when that song came out and being required to hear it 10x per day for 9 months (if not longer). Nobody can stay in the pisser that long.

Well, Kid Rock, Eminem, Ted Nugent, and Bob Seger are all from Michigan. That'd be a decent start to a concert, I'd say....

Alice Cooper, Grand Funk Railroad, The Verve Pipe and of course the White Stripes as well.

I've been told certain of my bodily functions are quite musical, but we've had enough of the state going down the sh11ter so I won't offer my services.

Joking aside it really sucks. I'm doing fine, I've got a good job that pays well, but I've got numerous friends who are in a world of hurt. One guy has been laid of twice now, I know families who have two people working, earning less than one of them did two years ago. Others have had wage and hours cut. It's really not funny.
