you ever seen professional movers lift big furniture? They usually have a sling they loop under a corner and then over a shoulder, that way they can lift with their "core"... also, package dolly.

Fortunately (unfortunately?) I'm only really moving small stuff. I should be fine but even if my shoulder's still sore by then I bet my buddies would help out if I offered them a round of beers on me.
Currently slamming my head against the wall hitting yet another time consuming setback on my "simple cheap beater truck project" that wasn't even supposed to be a project. I don't even like this thing that much and it's blocking progress on my other projects. But I kind of need it and can't afford to replace it right now.
I forgot to tighten the knock sensor bolt when I moved it out of the way so I wouldn't damage it while replacing the starter on my E60 525xi. So today I pulled the intake and replaced just the bolt. It seems to run a bit better now, so I'm going to return the new knock sensor.
I truly believe that the slow-closing toilet seat is one of the greatest inventions of the modern era.
I just realized I spent more on the pig I bought this weekend than I have on several vehicles. Oops.

I agree wholeheartedly, but it ruins your ability to use standard toilet seats.
Forgetting that the toilet you just used doesn't have a slow close lid is fun for noone at 3am
I want to start calling parts houses asking for Prius power steering pumps. Maybe this can replace the ACVW water pump requests.

the world is full of NOT car people. throw an extension cord out to the car and nobody will question it.
As a result of the Favorite Username thread, I have now figured out the significance of at least 3 usernames I never understood before. Two of them were so clear in retrospect that I actually smacked my own forehead.

Because GRM, and because why not, I now have a desire to do an electric conversion on an RX8. I mean, rotary engine folks are a pretty devout, but not nearly as much as electric motor folks. Could be quite the thing.

That would be rad. Proof that hot rodders gonna rod, no mater what motor they are working with.

I was thinking it's a prefect excuse to setup the car to run without an alternator
I'm working from home today. When I work from home, I work about 2 hours less, and am probably about 200% more productive.

Dude, that’s perfectly OK unless you went with French tips…how hammered were you…were you like French tip hammered or just garden variety clear polish hammered???

The Kohl’s store by me has an “employee of the month” and once I parked in the spot.
My logic was; If they are EOTM; why aren’t they at work impressing the team even more than last month?

I was tempted to pop the hood and put the charger in there but I was just too lazy to care.
