I have techs just like this.
"So I started messing with the new cameras and now all of a sudden, I lost all my views and a camera stopped working."
Didn't I tell you to not touch any of that? If you want it changed, I'll get our contractor out to do it.
"Yeah, but..."
Cool. It's snowing on Halloween.
Wasted an hour-plus diagnosing a wiring problem that turned out to be "Alldata has the pinout wrong". And I should have known better but wasn't paying close enough attention.
Once I said berk you Nobu I do this myself, I found the corroded ground wire in about 15 seconds.
(Alldata diagram had the O2 heater ground going through the PCM. What they claimed was that, was the signal ground...)
The plan had been for us to go out to the cabin tonight and try and get the upstairs floor sanded and cleared and to take care of caulking the shower. Unfortunately the Dancer has been a bit under the weather but has been in the theater all week with the studio she works out doing their Dia show- so she's going to be too worn out to go... so I'm going to have to try and make up for it tomorrow when I've already got a ton of other things that I need to do to get it finished and ready to rent.

It's 86 degrees here. And yes, that's a rant. I'd rather have snow.
Normally when it's below 60, my wife doesn't wanna be outside.
Today, it's below 40 and there's still snow on the ground from last night, so here I am fully expecting we're not taking our daughter out tonight to trick or treat.
Nope. I'm wrong. We're going. She'll just be bundled up in clothes and I'll be freezing my ass off the whole time.
Whatever. Free candy.
In reply to FuzzWuzzy :
Halloween is pretty much my favorite holiday, so I go all out with the candy. The weather here is high 30's with wind gusts of 40 MPH. We usually have anywhere from 100-140 trick or treaters. I'm betting we end up with about 12-24 this year. The few kids who stop by are getting two full size candy bars for their dedication.
We get 150-200 kids on a decent Halloween night.
It snowed and is windy and cold in Chicago today.
My wife will be really happy if nobody shows up.

Well, color me impressed. We had 81 trick-or-treaters tonight. Way down from the usual, but a lot more than I expected with the weather.

My rant: Calling Jobu Nobu is bad.
VERY BAD.

Why the hell would you call 3/8" flexible gas line with two 1/2" reducers thrown on 1/2" gas line? I didn't need the goddamn reducers, I needed to hook the 1/2" fitting that was on the end to the reducer I already berkeleying had, now I have to get a coupling instead.
I don't want to take a third trip just to hook this berkeleying stove up.

I am coming down with a cold. Been feeling it coming all day.
Tomorrow starting at 7AM, I’m reffing 6 hockey games, followed by 4 on Saturday and (so far only) 2 on Sunday. Not a good time to get sick.

We didn't lose power last night, but apparently my neighbor's main feed blew down, because I was awakened at 3:30a by a crew of 5 guys with really powerful flashlights driving a portable man lift down between our houses to get to the power pole at the corner of our property.

There's a line of red pine that run the length of our property and they were kind of tall and spindly to begin with, and now some sort of bug is killing them off. They get whipping around pretty good in this wind and I'm afraid they are going to come down on the back garage.
I haven't searched for anything "LS swap" related on eBay or have any watched items that would assume it, yet....
Really hating marketing.

I hit a deer on the way to work this morning and its legs were messed up and it was just sorta flopping around and I couldn't do anything for it.

Man, that sucks, I'm sorry for both you and the deer. It's been a rougher-than-usual year for them. I've seen more dead deer in the last week or so than I had in months.
The deer I hit in the old E46 bounced off the windshield and over the roof. She disappeared into the woods and I never saw her again. Either she made it or she died later of internal injuries, but she was gone by the time I got the car stopped.
I've seen cops use their sidearms to put them out of misery.

My old $500 ZJ Grand Cherokee ripped the front control arm out of the body this spring. I had bought it 4 years ago, drove it two years, then retired it and my father drove it for 2 more years. Plan was to send it to the boneyard, but then my friend who autocrosses a ZJ Grand Cherokee saw it and was interested in buying it off me for parts for $200. With winter approaching, I want it gone, so I messaged him asking if he was still interested and could he come get it soon. "Well, all I really want is the tranfer case. Can you pull that and I'll buy it off you for $100?" Nope, sorry, I don't have the time, or room, or patience to work on that thing again. You can come buy the whole thing and pull the T-case yourself, but I really don't want to berkeley with this vehicle again.

I watch a local cop empty a mag into one. He didn't kill it. We kept asking to be allowedto pop it with our rifles. Nope. Kind of pissed us of to watch it suffer.
I just wish I had room in the freezer for a deer.
I just want some deer sausage now.
